Two of us Sunday driving Not arriving On our way back home We're on our way home We're on our way home We're going home

One night the moon followed me home
And I decided
To keep him
He’s full but he’s hungry,
He’s new but he’s old,
We rise,
Bumping into each other while brushing our teeth,
Lighting my face as I listen,
I blow the heat from my coffee
And kiss his surface tenderly,
Before we each undertake the day’s pursuits.
