Heading west
To say our good byes
Inky layers before us
Each rising like oil
From the realm below it
Mineral path to reflective
Steel waters to shadowy slate
Hills from which the day’s aura
Trails from its shelter in warm
Pinks and oranges
Relaxed heliotropic sky
Streaked with bright yellow
memories
